Church plants

  • Vertical Church - Pastor Kwon Do Lee is planting a brand new church in midtown Manhattan, an incredibly challenging place to plant a church. Pray for effectiveness in evangelism and leadership development as Pastor Lee builds up the now one-year-old congregation.

  • Brian Na - Pastor Brian is in the initial stages of planting a church in Bayside, Queens. Pray that he and his core group from NJ discover wonderful open doors for ministry and that God provide them opportunities to share their faith in Queens.

  • City on a Hill - Pastor Sham is currently trying to nail down an agreement to begin public worship services at a church building in Bloomfield, NJ. Pastor Sham has been building his core group for the last year. Pray that God open this door so and that the church plant can gain momentum by beginning public worship services. Pray for a special anointing on Pastor Sham to be able to juggle full-time teaching and pastoring.

  • Pastor Jay is helping lead New Life into a season of renewal. Pray for God’s special anointing on him and his wife, Lisa.

thanksgiving

  • Thank God for a successful “prayer walk” at the Capital in Washington, D.C. Members from three local CRCs gathered to pray for our nation.

  • Thank God for 68 RSVPs for Fanning the Flame. Pray that this event turns out to be a catalyst for renewal in our region!

  • Pray for the family of Pastor Paul Stzo who recently passed away. He was the founding pastor of Queens CRC.

  • Pray for God to move in the hearts of donors to give the $60,000 needed for the Nehemiah Project this year.

  • Pray for pastors and churches that are discouraged and unable to see what God’s future for them looks like. Pray for fresh inspiration and encouragement for struggling churches.

  • Pray for a Spirit of unity among the CRCs in the region.

  • Pray for open doors for new ministries with the Nehemiah Project

  • Pray for Go Local and the participating churches, that they would discover new ways to connect with and serve their communities.

  • Pray for lives of those affected by drugs and alcohol abuse.

  • Pray for the millions of people who don’t know Jesus.

  • Pray against the divisions that exist in our communities - political, racial, socio-economic and other.
