Plan and Pray

The first step is to begin discussions with us and with Resonate and a local church to discern a need and possibility of planting a church in the region. (See how churches get started) Some churches will start with a residency. Resonate will require you to go through an assessment process to be approved for church planting. MAM will use the results of that process to determine level of support as well. MAM will also ask you to complete a "New Ministry Proposal” by Jan 15. The purpose of this phase is to build relationships and to discern God’s leading for this church plant. The New Ministry Proposal will also request other documents including a ministry plan, 3 year budget projections, and an MOU signed by you and the parent church.

Plant

Once you have completed a residency and been approved by both MAM and Resonate, you are ready to begin your church planting endeavors. Some may already have made significant progress in gathering a core group or launch team. During this phase, you will receive funding from the classis and from Resonate. You will also connect monthly with a coach.

Renew

In the Spring, both MAM and Resonate will conduct ministry reviews. You will also be asked to complete a renewal application for continued funding for the subsequent year. New churches can receive funding for up to 5 years.
